Women in Dairy gears up for annual conference
© Tim Scrivener The challenges of surviving and operating during the dairy crisis is the focus of the second annual Women in Dairy conference in Worcester at the end of the month.
The event will be held at Sixways Stadium on 28 September and is themed on “Resilience in adversity”.
It will be chaired by dairy farmer Di Wastenage. Di was one of the partners who won the 2015 Farmers Weekly’s Awards Dairy Farmer of the Year title.

Women in Dairy was created by Promar International and RABDF with the support of AHDB Dairy just over 12 months ago and has expanded to 18 regional groups across the UK.
The aim of the group is to provide regional meetings for women who hold a variety of roles within the dairy industry allowing them to meet, generate ideas, discuss industry practises and share experiences with each other.
Victoria Chomiak, membership and training co-ordinator for British Dairy Farmers said: “We believe this conference will help all attendees with their individual farm businesses and together create a vision for the future of British dairying after a very lengthy period of adversity within the dairy sector.”
