TWIN LAUNCH IN WEST COUNTRY AT £850,000

WEST COUNTRY agent Stags is launching two farms both priced at £850,000.

In Devon, Mr and Mrs Roger Daniel are selling Woodford Farm at Milton Damerel after their retirement.

The 141-acre stock farm, which has been in their family for three generations, includes a six-bedroom traditional Devon long-style farmhouse, which has been lotted separately with 60 acres for £660,000.

Athill Farm at St Stephens, near Launceston, Cornwall, is run as an 80-cow dairy unit by a farmer-and-son team who are also retiring.

The 108-acre farm comes with a four-bedroom period house needing some updating and an 8:8 herringbone parlour, as well as some traditional buildings that could be converted to holiday lets.

 Agent Alex Rew said the farm was available on a lock-stock-and-barrel basis for anybody who wanted to continue in dairying. But, given its size, he did not think it would remain in milk.

Mr Rew is also about to launch 108-acre South Yeo Farm at Northlew near Okehampton, Devon. With a five-bedroom house, the stock farm is priced at £750,000.
