Scotland aims for mandatory online SAF
Scotland’s farmers are also being encouraged to complete their Single Application Form (SAF) online and the Scottish government has said its aim is to move to mandatory online submission in the future.
There are no major changes to the application process in Scotland this year, but guidance notes make it clear that electronic SAFs are preferable. Online validation checks help to reduce the number of mistakes being made by claimants, its says.
They also deliver environmental benefits and cost savings to the Scottish government.
