QV Foods acquires part of MBM Produce

Lincolnshire-based food company QV Foods has today (26 February) confirmed that it has acquired the retail and foodservice division of potato firm MBM Produce, based at March in Cambridgeshire.
Historic liabilities for the division will remain with MBM Produce, but from today the business at the March site will be operated by QV.
“The support of the enlarged team and additional facilities will enable QV to continue to provide an excellent service to existing customers of both businesses, and we look forward to working with our extended supply base to support our service delivery and create new opportunities together,” QV director Simon Martin said.
“The facilities and team at March will enable further expansion of the QV business from the site, and will resolve the constraints which recent growth has highlighted at the Holbeach site.”
It is reported that the 140 jobs affected by the sale at the company’s sites in March, and parts of Norfolk, Lincolnshire and Scotland will be transferred to QV Foods.
