Countryside Stewardship claim window opens for 2025

Farm businesses can now submit 2025 revenue claims for Countryside Stewardship (CS) or Environmental Stewardship (ES) to the Rural Payments Agency (RPA).

The claim window will remain fully open until 15 May, after which claims can still be submitted, but reductions will be applied to the claim amount. The final claim deadline is 1 September.

Revenue claims should typically be submitted through the RPA portal; however, they can also be made via email or post if required.

CS agreement holders who have not made any changes to their annual revenue claim will be able to make an annual declaration, which will allow holders to submit an automated revenue claim without having to refill the form again.

However, if agreement holders wish to make changes or the agreement includes rotational options, applicants will need to provide the relevant information to the RPA.

ES agreement holders should receive claim forms directly from the RPA.

Reductions for late claims

• Between 16 May and 2 June – 5% reduction in claim value
• Between 3 June and 30 June – 10% reduction in claim value
• Between 1 July and 1 September – 25% reduction in claim value
