Norfolk farm offers diverse opportunity

The chance to buy about 380 acres of Norfolk farmland with irrigation has arisen with the sale of Harling Farm.

On the edge of the Norfolk Brecks near East Harling, the farm is for sale as a whole or in lots.

Harling Farm is diverse, equipped with two pig fattening sheds and sow house, and cropped to cereals and specialist vegetables, with grassland grazed on a seasonal licence.

About 265 acres are arable, 64 acres grassland and 43 acres woodland. The land is a mix of Grade 3 and Grade 4.

The farm has a water extraction licence for 90,840cu m and a 15,000t sugar beet quota.

Part of the grassland forms East Harling Common and is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest.

The farm is not entered into any environmental stewardship schemes, but does lie within a nitrate vulnerable zone.

A modern three-bedroom farmhouse subject to agricultural occupancy is included.
