Mixed units enter Fife and Perthshire farmland market

A diverse range of Scottish farms are on the market this week in Fife and Perthshire.

Bonnyton Farm, near Leven, Fife, is for sale at a guide price of ÂŁ1.6m for the whole, or in two lots.

The 222-acre unit has been run as a stock farm but is capable of being a mixed enterprise. It is mainly down to grass but the south-facing Grade 3 land has previously produced combinable crops.

The farm has various outbuildings, including an Atcost general-purpose shed with concrete floor and grain walls, a redundant traditional steading and several storage and livestock buildings.

A Perthshire hill farm which can run in excess of 650 sheep is being sold near Aberfeldy.

Priced at offers over ÂŁ750,000, Inchgarth has 76 acres of permanent pasture and 333 acres of open heather hill ground. Grazing rights on a further 3,000 acres are available by separate negotiation. The ground is south-facing and rises from 185m to 400m and consists of Grade 5 and Grade 6 land.

Also in Perthshire, a mixed farm with about 171 acres is for sale near Alyth.

Mornity Farm is generally level and the majority of the land is Grade 3 with approximately 154 acres cropped with potatoes, temporary grassland and combinable crops. A further 14 acres is down to permanent pasture, with a small area of woodland.

The farm has one modern building with lean-tos on either side. There is also a number of traditional stone buildings and a three-bedroom farmhouse.
