Massey Ferguson has appointed a new dealer to handle sales and services of its equipment in the Kent and east Sussex area.

The new dealer – Agwood – is based in Swingfield near Dover, but as part of the agreement a new branch has also recently opened at Linton, near Maidstone.

Massey Ferguson says that the existing Massey Ferguson dealer – Arter brothers, of Barnham near Canterbury will continue in its operations as normal.

Agwood was established in 1981 by Ian Wood and has grown substantially over the years, now employing 15 people including seven fully trained service engineers.

The firm says that the new outlet at Linton will effectively double the size of the Agwood business with dedicated workshop, parts store, showroom and office facilities.

Massey Ferguson’s area sales manager, Ben Agar says the new dealership is a significant appointment for Massey Ferguson.

“Agwood are highly experienced and extremely well-equipped and focused to serve our customers in this important farming area,” he says.
