Muller’s Advantage programme suppliers are set to receive a 1p/litre milk price increase from 1 November.
These farmers, who have agreed to improve supply chain collaboration, boost herd health and make reductions in environmental effects, will be paid 30p/litre next month.
Rob Hutchison, chief operating officer at Muller Milk and Ingredients, said: “The markets have strengthened, enabling us to make this increase from November.

“Like all parts of the dairy supply chain, we also know that farmers are facing increased costs as we head into winter.
“We will continue to closely monitor supply and demand in the coming months,” Mr Hutchison said.
It is the latest in a stream of processors to confirm a milk price rise, including Arla, Freshways Dairy, Medina Dairy and Barber’s Cheesemakers.
However, the news may not be enough to reassure some farmers, with feed, fertiliser, fuel and energy costs staying high and putting pressure on margins.
