Mixed farms and bare land blocks on GB market
Plenty of activity remains in the land and farms market as the busy summer sales season moves towards autumn.
After a slow start to the year, sellers have found enough confidence to join the numerous keen buyers in the property market.
Here’s a selection of what’s on offer in England, Wales and Scotland, including a five-year farm business tenancy opportunity.

Upland farm
Upper Ashtrees, near Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders, is on the market with Knight Frank for offers in excess of £615,000.
Available as a whole or in two lots, the 155-acre holding includes productive upland land, farm buildings, amenity woodland and a pond.
Mixed holding
Near Alnwick in Northumberland, 582-acre Hepburn Farm is for sale with Savills, guided at £5.85m.
It has two dwellings, an extensive range of buildings, high-yielding arable land, grassland and amenity woodland.
Development opportunity
BTF Partnership is selling a farm with planning permission to convert existing buildings into three new houses near Cranbrook in Kent.
The development site at Tilsden Farm is available in three lots or as a whole, with a guide price of above £3m.
It also has 167 acres of grass, arable land and woodland, as well as a Christmas tree plantation.
Scottish Estate
Pluscarden Estate, near Elgin in Moray, is on the market with Galbraith for £7m.
Available as a whole or in two lots, the property includes 1,354 acres of arable land, grass and woodland, four dwellings, and sporting opportunities.
Bare land
Near Bishop Auckland in County Durham, 48 acres of bare land in a block is available with youngsRPS as a whole or in two lots.
The Grade 3 land at Eldon includes permanent pasture and woodland and has a guide price of £170,000.
Grazing block
Carter Jonas is selling 175-acre Gilfach Wen near Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, within the Snowdonia National Park, for £625,000.
It comes with a block of mixed grazing of improved pasture and rough upland ground, along with shared common grazing rights on Llechwedd Gain for 300 ewes.
The hefted flock will be available to purchase by separate negotiation.

The agreement for the land at Plas Capten is due to begin on 20 October 2022.
