Arable land in North and East for sale
Two good-sized parcels of arable land in Norfolk and Nottinghamshire are for sale this week.
About 232 acres of productive Grade 1 and 2 land is for sale in an area of Norfolk where the majority of land has stayed in the same families for more than 100 years.
The land is at Trunch, near North Walsham, with part of it in the Norfolk coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Soils are predominantly Wick 2 series and the fields have good access from public roads. The average field size is 20 acres, with a cropping rotation of spring barley, winter wheat and winter barley, potatoes and sugar beet.
The land is for sale with a guide price of £2.2m for the whole, or in two lots – SPS entitlements are included. (Savills 01603 229 227)
Further north in Nottinghamshire, about 151 acres of mainly Grade 3 arable land, with some pasture and woodland, is for sale near Blyth.
The sale includes a water abstraction licence for 5m gallons, SPS entitlements and a storage building.
The arable land is currently let on an annual licence and planted with sugar beet. It has previously grown potatoes and cereal crops.
It is offered with vacant possession, but with holdover until January and is for sale at a guide price of £1.44m. (Savills 0115 934 8130)
