Retailer Lidl is adding 7p/litre to its fixed price milk contract for May, taking the price to 40p/litre.
The retailer’s second fixed price offer through processor Muller Milk & Ingredients was launched in May 2021 at 29p/litre, fixed for three years on up to 50% of a producer’s milk.

As input costs soared, Lidl voluntarily added 4p/litre from 1 January this year and has now put another 7p/litre on the farmgate price.
Any remaining litres would attract the Muller Direct price of 40p/litre from 1 May, said a Muller spokesman.
Muller supplies fresh milk to the majority of Lidl’s British stores.
