Large Scottish stock-rearing farm hits market
A modern beef and sheep farm in Dumfries and Galloway that has undergone significant investment in recent years is for sale at a guide price of £1.54m.
Airyolland is in the coastal area of The Machars and has 574 acres. It uses a paddock grazing system, which has been through an extensive programme of cultivation and re-seeding since 2010 when a number of arable fields were switched to grass.

The investment has allowed the farm to become self-sufficient in home-grown forage for its 50 sucklers plus followers and 600 sheep. But it is capable of trebling its cattle numbers, thanks to a new cattle court and upgraded buildings.
It is being sold through CKD Galbraith’s Stirling office.
