Farms for sale in Hampshire, Aberdeenshire and Lincs

Hampshire, Aberdeenshire and Lincolnshire all have land and farms for sale this week, as the farmland market starts to pick up for the first time this year.

Mixed farm has high green credentials

New Barn Farm (pictured), near Twyford in Hampshire, offers 149 acres and two cottages at a guide price of £2.25m.

The current owner has a herd of pedigree cattle and the farm includes 136 acres of arable and temporary grassland and a further four acres of permanent pasture.

The farm is well-equipped with two grain stores, four 150t grain silos, a machinery store, cattle yard and two further sheds. (Strutt & Parker 01722 344 010)

Let land brought to market in Scotland

An 86-acre parcel of Grade 3 arable land near Aberdeen is for sale as a single lot at a guide price of £240,000.

The land is let on an AHA tenancy. Rent was reviewed in November 2014 and set at £3,400/year (£39.28/acre) and can be reviewed every three years.

The tenants claim BPS entitlements but none are included in the sale. (Smiths Gore 01343 823 000)

£12,000/acre for versatile Lincs land

Three Lincolnshire fields totaling 55 acres of arable land are for sale on the edge of Swineshead, near Boston at a guide price of £662,800.

The land is let on a tenancy, which expires in March.

Potatoes, wheat, oilseed rape and beans have formed the cropping on the Grade 1 and 2 soils but the land could also be used for sugar beet and, in parts, field vegetables.

BPS entitlements are available by separate negotiation. (Pygott & Crone 01529 414 555)
