Composting firm goes into administration
A Herefordshire composting business set up by farmers eight years ago has called in the administrators.
Directors of Bioganix plc said the company’s two operating subsidiaries, Bioganix Composting Limited and Bioganix Research Limited, had gone into administration. Bioganix plc will not itself be placed into administration, but is likely to be wound up in due course.
Trading of the company’s shares on the Alternative Investment Market was suspended and its listing will be cancelled with effect from 10 March.
Waste management company, Countrystyle Group, has bought the freehold and composting business of Bioganix Composting’s Parham site near Ipswich. It will take over a 10-year contract to process 12,000t a year of kitchen waste from collection authorities across Suffolk.
