Clunderwen are YFC cheer champions

Clunderwen Young Farmers’ Club have triumphed in a tightly-fought national cheerleading final with a professional and sharply choreographed cheering routine sprinkled with acrobatic skills and stunts.


Performing to a packed audience on the last day of the YFC AGM in Blackpool, Lancashire, the nine-strong team held their nerve to win the top spot.


Trefeglwys YFC from Montgomery matched their success in the ballroom dancing final by taking silver, while Bakewell YFC, from Derbyshire, who also boasted the winning ballroom dancing team, took home bronze.


Clubs were marked on a variety of elements including showmanship, spirit, creativity and costume.

  • Second place: Trefeglwys YFC, Montgomery
  • Third place: Bakewell YFC, Derbyshire
