Mixed farm tenancy in stunning Cornish location on market
A flexible approach by a landlord looking for one or more tenants for up to 25 years brings an interesting opportunity in a stunning coastal setting in Cornwall.
Methleigh Farm, at Porthleven, has about 260 acres of productive arable and pasture land. This has previously been run as a mixed beef, sheep and arable enterprise.
Cropping has included potatoes, cereals, brassicas and grass, with some maize in 2022-23.

There is an eight-bedroom Grade II listed farmhouse and extensive well-maintained traditional granite buildings with potential for change to a wide range of alternative uses.
Further accommodation includes a two-bedroom lodge house and a static caravan. There are good modern farm buildings, one with eight bays and one with four.
The landlord is willing to consider letting different parts of the farm and buildings to separate tenants if suitable propositions are put forward, says agent Caroline Raspison of Carter Jonas.
“Also, depending on the proposals from prospective tenants, the landlord may be willing to invest, alongside tenant investment,” says Mrs Raspison.
