Lincolnshire agri-machine firm calls in administrators
Lincolnshire agri-machine firm Househam Sprayers has called for administrators, putting the future of the business into question.
The company filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators on 30 January, which protects it from legal action by those who are owed money.
Farmers Weekly understand that HMRC has filed a petition to wind up the company, an action taken if a company can’t pay its debts, also known as compulsory liquidation.

During administration, the company hands over control of its assets, with the aim that liquidation can be avoided.
Based in Woodhall Spa, the company was founded in 1970 and has manufactured self-propelled sprayers since.
It is run by managing director Robert Willey, who was appointed to the role in March 1992.
It is understood that the company has previously been awarded a loan by MEIF Maven Debt Finance East and South East Midlands via the Recovery Loan Scheme.
The Recovery Loan Scheme, rebranded the Growth Guarantee Scheme in July 2024, supports small- and medium-sized businesses to access finance up to £2m to grow and invest.
Househam Sprayers has been contacted for comment.
