Househam Group secures future of Lincs-based Househam Sprayers

Househam Sprayers, which went into administration in early February, has been acquired by Househam Group Ltd, securing the future of the Lincolnshire agri-machinery firm and its team of 47 staff.

HMRC had filed a petition to wind up Househam Sprayers, an action taken if a company can’t pay its debts, also known as compulsory liquidation.

The company then filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators on 30 January, protecting it from legal action by those who are owed money.

Househam Group has now acquired the trade and assets of Househam Sprayers, which the company says puts it on a stable financial footing and provides a platform for long-term sustainability and growth.

Farmers Weekly understands that managing director Robert Willey has provided working capital, allowing the company to continue operating.

“We’ve lost some pace over the past five to six years and we need to get back up there,” Mr Willey told Farmers Weekly.

“We’ve got a good team in place that will get Househam back into the marketplace. The future is good.”

Based in Woodhall Spa, Househam Sprayers has manufactured self-propelled sprayers since it was founded in 1970..

Beyond manufacturing, Househam operates a UK-based global parts division, maintaining an extensive inventory of more than 24,000-line items, ensuring reliable access to spare parts worldwide.
