Two men killed in farm slurry incident
© Roger Askew/Rex Shutterstock An investigation is continuing into the deaths of two men in an accident involving slurry on a Leicestershire farm.
The 19-year-old and 35-year-old died at Church Farm, Normanton Lane, Normanton, near Bottesford on Thursday 22 December.
The accident is believed to have involved a delivery of slurry to the site but the Health and Safety Executive said it was not known “how the men were exposed”.

Emergency services were called to the site following reports that the men had become trapped in a tank on the farm.
It is believed that the fire service tried to free the men by cutting a hole in the tank.
Leicestershire police said officers were called to the farm at 4.30pm.
Officers were carrying out enquiries on behalf of the coroner and post-mortem examinations would be carried out on the two men to determine the cause of death.
A Health and Safety Executive spokesman told Farmers Weekly an investigation was continuing into the circumstances of the incident.
