Free farm business management webinars on offer in England

Farmers in England can sign up to a series of free business support webinars being delivered by the Landworkers’ Alliance (LWA).
The first webinar, which will be an introduction to the Environmental Land Management (ELM) scheme and the Agricultural Transition Plan, takes place on 30 September.
More than 20 interactive sessions are being planned across the coming months, and will be open to any Basic Payment Scheme claimants in England.

Topics will include direct marketing, soil health and building fertility in arable rotations.
The webinars will be presented by farmers who are experts in their field, with the programme of activity paid for by the government’s Future Farming Resilience Fund.
The aim is to help participants identify what changes and adaptations they can make to build resilience into their businesses.
The LWA hopes to provide advice to 500 individuals or organisations between September 2021 and March 2022.
Farmers interested in accessing this free support are encouraged to sign up on the Landworkers’ Alliance website.
