National Milk Records provides a range of milk recording services for farmers, consultants, milk buyers and vets.
It tests about 10m samples of milk each year and processes individual samples from about 50% of dairy cows in the UK each month.
The deal is expected to be completed later this year if it passes the necessary regulatory checks.
The purchase of National Milk Records will allow AB Agri to expand its offering in the UK dairy sector, after it bought dairy adviser Kite Consulting for an undisclosed sum in December last year.
