£50,000 funding for Yorkshire Dales farms
A two-year initiative will offer Yorkshire Dales farms business support and advice from this autumn.
SAC Consulting has won £50,000 of funding from the Prince’s Countryside Fund for the project to help farmers in the region get the most from their businesses.

The area has some of the most diverse farm land in the UK, with upland livestock farms facing significant financial, environmental, legislative and logistical pressures, said SAC.
The project will provide 15 farms with detailed business reviews, looking at both financial and technical performance to help them find a position of stability and sustainability.
A launch meeting will be held in Hawes this autumn and there will also be drop-in clinics and open group events to discuss benchmark data and look at new ideas and concepts such as using electronic identification data (EID) for flock and herd management.
