Royal Highland Show: Individual cattle breed champions

Some sheep and beef results are beginning to come through.

SALERS: On the beef side the Salers champion was handed to Gulliver, a bull forward from R and A Crockett sired by Uno and out of Colette. In reserve was John Pirie with his female Chapelpark Una. This one is homebred and is by Chapelpark Tyson and out of Farr Margo.

CHAROLAIS: Taking the breed champion title with Elgin Catherine was R A Milne and Sons. This one is by Gower Versace and out of Elgin Unity. In reserve was Major Walter and D Muirhead with Maerdy Grenadier. This one is by Maerdy Dynamite and out of Maerdy Damson.

Charolais Champion

BEEF SHORTHORN: Harry Horrell with Podehole Madeline. This one is by Trojan of Craigeassie and out of Wenmar Madeline. In reserve was Mr James Porter with Ardoyne Bombus. This one is by Ardoyne Atlas and out of Dunsyre Ensay.

Beef Shorthorn Champion

HEREFORD: Messrs L R and A M Ayre with Frenchstone P1 Boo. This one is by by Bosa 1 Mr Bean and out of Sevendale Regina. In reserve was J R B Wilson and Sons’ Romany 1 Plum by Baybridge Atlas and out of Romany 1 Plum 41H.

GALLOWAY: Messrs Wallace with Una of Over Barskeoch. This one is by Greenloop Limited Edition and out of Beatrice of Over Barskeoch. Reserve went to J M and D Maxwell’s bull Klondyke Raider by Holsten ED N54 German Import and out of Klondyke Whispher.

BELTED GALLOWAY: Mochrum Estates’ Mochrum Lilac 3rd by Lullenden Randall and out of Mochrum Kestie. Res, Mr Bryan Wallings’ Southfield Major Ronaldo by Karandrea Ronaldo and out of Southfield Dun Sabrina.

Belted Galloway Champion

HIGHLAND: Mrs Catherine McKechnie’s Bhoidheach Ruadh 1st of Merkland House which is by Prionnsa Rhuadh of Pole and out of Boidheach Rhud 3rd of Glengoyne. In reserve was Killochries Fold’s Princess of Killochries by Dughall of Killochries and out of Princess 2nd of Kinpurnie.

LIMOUSIN: Scooping the Limousin breed championship was the Alford family from Devon with Foxhillfarm Gracie. This homebred Wilodge Vantastic daughter is out of Bankdale Alice. Taking the reserve place was S and H Illingworthwith Glenrock Fantastic, a Haltcliffe Vermount daughter out of Glenrock Spangle.
