British Lion launches new egg info website

British Lion eggs has relaunched its two websites with the aim of creating “two clear destinations” for users, and making them more mobile- and tablet-friendly.
The first site, www.eggrecipes.co.uk, will feature recipe ideas, from the very basics to main meals devised by top celebrity chefs. There is also video content and ideas to get kids eating eggs.
The second, www.egginfo.co.uk, is aimed primarily at trade customers, teachers and health professionals. It will feature news, nutritional information and the history of the British Lion quality assurance scheme.
Part of the reasoning behind the refresh was to make the pages more mobile-friendly – increasingly the way people use the web. British Lion said it will also keep up its efforts to push the site to the top of search engines when people look for recipes.
Andrew Joret, chairman of the British Egg Industry Council, said: “The new websites will ensure consumers, customers and health professionals can now find everything they need to know quickly and easily wherever they are; whether they’re in the office, kitchen or in the supermarket doing the weekly shop.”
