POLL: How should DairyCo spend levy millions?
Farmers Weekly is researching a feature about DairyCo’s use of levy money, and we want to hear your views on how it should be spent.
DairyCo is funded entirely by milk producers through a statutory levy on all milk sold off-farm, and after support costs it has about £5.7m to spend every year.
The largest proportion of levy funds is spent on research and development, and the smallest on communicating with consumers. Is this the right way round? Or should they be focusing their finances on another area entirely?
Answer our quick poll below, telling us whether you think key areas of spending are vital, not a priority or an unnecessary use of levy payers’ money.
We’ll share the results in a forthcoming issue of Farmers Weekly.
