Lamma: Opico shows Mirka drill
Opico plans to launch a new Gaspardo precision drill at Lamma. The Mirka is a hydraulically folding eight-row maize drill constructed with a frame strong enough to support a 1,400 litre fertiliser hopper which avoids the need for a front mounted system.
Each of the eight rows has a 60-litre seed hopper and, if specified, a 30-litre microgranule hopper. Row spacing is 75cm and the seed metering drive is taken from four 26 x 12 wheels. When making headland turns, the outer wings can be partially lifted to prevent them making contact with the ground.
Transport width is 3m and minimum power requirement is put at 170hp tractor. Price is £46,729.
