Milk tanker crashes into family home
A milk tanker crashed into the side of a house in Aylesbury, causing serious structural damage.
David Rhodes, who lives in the house in Ellen Road with his two teenage children, was not at home when the accident happened. Both his children were at school at the time.
The crash has left a massive hole in the side of the house and Mr Rhodes and his family will be forced out of their home this Christmas.
The driver escaped with minor injuries following the crash, which happened at around 9.25am on Wednesday (18 December). He said he could not remember how the crash happened.
Road closures are in place and the fire service has turned off gas and electricity supplies and is checking the house for structural damage.
The tanker, which belongs to Wincanton, was not carrying any milk at the time of the crash.
Its destination is unknown but Arla said it did not believe it was connected to its one billion litre liquid milk dairy on a 70-acre site near Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire.
