Gentle progress in Cambridgeshire

Harvest progress is about average in the Cambridgeshire area, and quality so far looks pleasing.
Rob Munro, marketing director at Fengrain, said the store hadn’t received much barley or oilseed rape in so far, but had more scheduled to be delivered.
“I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the barley, but one swallow doesn’t make a summer.
“And perhaps my expectations were so low, after such a dry spring, that it wouldn’t take much to exceed them.”
