First cargo leaves Angus Cereals’ new facility

The first export cargo from Angus Cereals’ new £6.5m operation at Montrose is 2,750t of oilseed rape destined for Rotterdam.

The Hekla was loaded last Friday (21 October) from the 25,000t port-side facility, which can load vessels up to 7,000t. This will open new markets for Scottish growers. Work is about to begin to add a further 20,000t of storage at Angus Cereals, part of the Openfield network.
