Cereals 2007: Fengrain unveils new online member service at Cereals 2007

East Anglian grain co-operative Fengrain is launching a new online service for members from harvest 2007.

Fenactive will allow members to access detailed information on their trading accounts with the co-operative online, and as well as allowing them to monitor grain store intake, contract details and grain sample analyses.

Fengrain’s chief executive Mark Isaacson, who oversaw the co-op’s ambitious expansion last year, said Fenactive would build on Fengrain’s online activity. “We have been providing members with market prices and other information by email and SMS text messaging.”

Mr Isaacson said he hoped to expand the Fenactive service by working with the co-op’s milling customers. “Typically it takes a week to get information on grain back to the grower. But eventually we hope to get results on a load delivered into a mill up on Fenactive that same night.”
