Farmers poke fun at Rihanna field drama
You would have to be on Mars to not have heard the Rihanna story by now.
The pop star was ordered off a farmer’s land in Clandeboye, outside Bangor, Northern Ireland after the shooting for her pop video became a little too steamy.
After giving his permission for the pop singer and crew to film her new video in one of his fields, the farmer, Alan Graham, became shocked when the singer undressed to reveal more than just her red bikini.
A devout Christian, Mr Graham was reported as saying: “If someone wants to borrow my field and things become inappropriate, then I say, ‘Enough is enough’”.
Farmers Weekly readers were swift to hit our forums and Twitter this morning to voice their views on this most important topic.
Some of you were very concerned about the singer’s topless antics:
Henarar wrote: “Just seen it on the news and I think she had way too much on!”
Well, maybe he will be heartened by Phil Goodyear’s comment informing us all that Rihanna “is in the Odyssey Arena Belfast on 1st October if you wanna see more”.
If Rihanna is looking for a new venue to complete the pop video, the invitations are flying in thick and fast.
Dick offered: “If anyone knows her agent please tell him that I have plenty of fields in which she can, if she chooses, remove all her clothes and assure him that there will be no objections in this part of Yorkshire”
Mursal was more concerned with the health and safety issues, what with the pop diva “running around in her bare feet!”
And @Essexpeasant was shocked: “Rihanna gets her wangers out in a field of wheat? That’s pretty shocking. Farmer should be ashamed of not having harvested the crop yet.”
But Mr Graham had support from some corners for his actions: Davys boy wrote: “I take my hat off to the man for standing up for what he believes in”.
