CAP proposals include tools to tackle crisis

Future Common Agricultural Policy will include measures to help the industry in times of crisis.


During a visit to Scotland this week, Dacion Ciolos said measures in CAP reform would ensure more immediate help for farmers in times of crisis, such as the recent #sosdairy situation.


“We propose strong and more proactive measures to deal with times of crisis. Crises have origins with the climate, the market or consumer confidence,” said the European agriculture commissioner.


“If we have a crisis we will have more reactive tools in place than we have now.”
