Promising crops at Penn Croft

Harvest is still at least a week away at Giles Porter’s Penn Croft Farms, Farnham, Surrey.


“We’ve got some winter barley to cut for a neighbour, and then oilseed rape, wheat, linseed and beans of our own,” he said.

“Generally, the crops aren’t looking too bad.

“The oilseed rape is looking fairly promising, and the wheat looks surprisingly good, considering the season.”
