Weidemann adds telescopic boom to compact loader
By Mike Williams
GERMAN-BASED compact loader specialist Weidemann has introduced a new model which incorporates a telescopic boom – the 1090D/P Teleboom.
A first for Weidemanns UK range, the new model is powered by a 48hp Perkins engine driving through a hydrostatic transmission that has two speed ranges to provide a maximum speed of 12.5mph.
The loader is designed to work where space is restricted. Steering is articulated using a pivot point midway between the front and rear axles – maximum angle is 60deg to allow a 2.16m (85in) turning radius measured over the wheels. Overall width of the Teleboom on standard tyres is a slim 1.28m (50.4in).
Lift capacity at the 4.2m (165in) maximum lift height is rated at 1.12 tonnes. Prices start at £23,000 for the standard version – a specification which includes a cab without doors. Adding the full specification cab plus road lighting increases the price to £26,500. lThe new Weidemann distributor since early June is PLG Loaders of Felthorpe, Norwich. Paul Gunther, who owns the company, has taken over the parts stock from the previous distributor and aims to re-establish a UK dealer network. *
