Trapped cow rescued from milking parlour
Specialist animal rescue crews had to be called in after a cow got stuck in a milking parlour.
Fire crews were called to a dairy farm in Aldford Road, Huntington, Chester, at 4.17pm on Saturday (5 March).
They found a cow trapped in the rotary parlour pit after it had fallen from a milking unit at the farm.

A vet sedated the cow and the farm owner disabled the milk machine.
The electrics were isolated.
Fire crews removed the cow from the parlour using lines and straps.
It is understood the animal was not seriously injured.
A fire engine from Chester and the rope rescue unit including a supporting fire engine from Knutsford, Cheshire, were required for the operation.
