Man dies after being trampled by cattle on Lancashire farm

A man in his 70s has died following a cattle trampling incident on a farm in Lancashire.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Lower House Farm in Lewth Lane, Woodplumpton, shortly after 9.45am on Monday (7 September).

The victim, named locally as Keith Knowles, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by air ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.

A spokeswoman for the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) said it was aware of the incident and was “making preliminary enquiries”. A coroner has been informed.
