Vintage Massey Ferguson tractors up for auction in Devon
A farmer’s lifetime collection of vintage farm machinery – including a number of collectable Massey Ferguson tractors – is being auctioned off in Devon this weekend.
The sale, run by auctioneers Stags will take place on 8 August at Rhode Farm, Bradninch, Cullompton with bidding kicking off at 11am.
A total of 15 tractors will be going under the hammer, including three Massey Ferguson T20s, three 35s, a 35X with loader, a 165 and a 148. All are in good order, apart from one non-runner.
A 1968 415 combine harvester is also up for grabs.
Other lots include a Fordson Major ripe for restoration, a selection of vintage haymaking equipment, cultivators, drills and scores of smaller collectable items.
There will be as many as 600 lots in total as well as a number of outside entries.
The sale is being held under the instruction of Mrs S Hammett to disperse her late husband’s collection.

Stags will also be holding a dispersal sale of second-hand machinery at Elbury Farm, Broadclyst, Exeter on Wednesday 12 August.
Lots include a series of Case-IH and McCormick tractors, a 2013 JCB 526-56 Loadall and a 2009 Ford Ranger pickup. Bidding will commence at 11am.
