6 videos: Bird’s-eye view of Yorkshire arable farming

A farm manager from Yorkshire has filmed an entire farming year from above with his high-definition drone.

The plough dance

Will Healey manages the 12,000-acre Warter Priory Estate in the East Riding of Yorkshire and has spent the past 12 months capturing its sizable machinery fleet in action.

On the tractor front that includes a brace of Challenger 765C crawlers, five Fendts and a Case Puma. Four Claas Lexion 580 combines are in charge of the combining campaign and spraying duties are handled by three Bateman RB55 sprayers on 36m booms.

The whopping estate sits in a ring fence and mainly grows wheat, barley, oilseed rape and vining peas for Birdseye.

Earlier videos are captured on a DJI Phantom drone, but more recent ones are filmed on a higher-spec Inspire model.
