Tractor buyers guide 2017
Times might be tough in the current farming climate, but that hasn’t stopped the major manufacturers making big changes to their tractor line-ups.
High-horsepower models have been beefed up, the Fendt 1050 is now on sale as the world’s most powerful fixed-frame tractor – peaking at 500hp – and the new John Deere 8R gives it a good run for its money at 450hp.

Massey introduced the largest four-cylinder machine on the market with the 6718S, boosting to 200hp.
At the other end, smaller tractors have become a lot more sophisticated. Case launched its plush Luxxum range, Deutz updated its 6- and 7-series and Class modernised the Arion.
