Merlo adds compact 27.6 to Turbofarmer telehandler range

Merlo’s entry-level 27.6 telehandler can now be had in ag-spec Turbofarmer guise, as an alternative to the slightly simpler “P” variant.

The two compact models are largely identical but for a new distributor valve in the 95 litres/min hydraulic system, allowing the oil flow to be shared for simultaneous tilting, lifting and extension of the headstock and boom.

There’s also been a change to the single range hydrostatic transmission, which now has a top speed of 40kph. This is paired with a 75hp Kohler four-cylinder engine.

Despite measuring just 2.2m tall and 1.9m wide, operators still get a full-size cab, now with extra cladding, and the option of an LCD display that brings in an attachment recognition and load weighing system.

Other vital stats include a 2.7t lift capacity and a maximum lift height of 5.9m.

Prices for the TF27.6 start at £77,857.
