Globus launches new range of farming PPE masks
British firm Globus has launched a new range of personal protective equipment (PPE) for farmers working with hazardous substances.
Designed and manufactured in the UK, the new face masks, named the Alpha Sentinel, protect against the likes of diesel exhaust emissions, toxic gases, and dust.
They have been designed to be worn for long periods of time, and to combat issues of PPE non-compliance.
Lead product designer Josh Moffat said: “We know that workers are often wearing these masks for long periods of time, and so focusing on comfort and fit means that they are more likely to be worn correctly and workers can be confident that they are getting the right protection.”
The masks feature a large exhalation valve which prevents heat and moisture from building up, and they also come with a range of changeable filters which protect against solid particulates, as well as liquids, gases, and vapours.
