Makita 40V pressure washer allows cordless cleaning
Cleaning needn’t be confined to the yard with the latest HW001G cordless pressure washer from Makita.
Power is provided by a single 40V XGT battery, but there are slots to accommodate two for longer run times. Operating pressure is 30-85 bar and it delivers a flow of up to 7 litres/min.

The washer is built into its own trolley running on 140mm wheels, and comes with 5m of hose and a lance that includes a foam nozzle.
Three operating modes are available, with the first suitable for light sluicing of delicate items, the second for cars, and the third for muddy machinery, concrete and yards.
Thanks to a self-priming function, it can draw water out of a container or trough, but it will also work when connected directly to a tap.
Online prices for the bare tool start at about £525, with a couple of 5Ah batteries and a charger adding another £555 to more than double the outlay.
