Horsch pulls wraps off heavier-duty Kredo HD power harrow

Horsch has bolstered the cultivating performance of its piggy-back and seed cart drills by introducing a heavier-duty power harrow, the Kredo HD.

This implement, which can be had on its own as well as integrated with the Express KR and Versa drills, comes in 3m, 3.5m and 4m sizes rigid, and 4m and 6m folding.

A beefy trough and two-speed power transmission enable even the 3m unit to be operated by a tractor of up to 300hp to tackle heavy soil types and compacted conditions.

The tine carrier, rotor kit and the drive shaft, which is supported by 60mm and 70mm taper roller bearings, can be dismantled from below.

Trailing or forward-angled “grip” tines come in standard, reinforced HM and carbide treated HM+ forms, the latter featuring a carbide coating that extends 130mm along the cutting edge.

Withdrawing a linch pin on the underside of each carrier releases the tines for a quick change from one style to another or when worn tines need to be replaced.

Combi setup

The Kredo HD forms the cultivation element of the 3m tractor-mounted mechanical combo, the 3m Express KR air drill/harrow combination, and the 4m Express KR folding model with front seed tank.

It performs the same role on the trailed 6m Versa SW, which comprises a 4,000-litre single product or 5,000-litre divided hopper, a row of wide flotation tyres and the linkage-mounted harrow with TurboDisc seeding bar behind.
