Topcon launches Norac-designed tillage depth control

Norac is well known in spraying circles for its boom levelling technology and now parent company Topcon has used the same principals to dive underground and develop a tillage depth control kit.

Designed to reduce soil compaction and slippage in the wet, the system uses ultrasonic sensors to maintain correct depth while adjusting for differing soil types and slopes.

Using the same technology as its boom height sensors, the system is designed to be “set and forget” for operators.

Handily, the Norac system can be installed on any trailed tillage implement, regardless of age, model or brand, nor is it reliant on having a Topcon display in the tractor cab. All it needs is a hydraulic lifting function and an Isobus connection in the tractor.
