Can-Am six-wheeler ATV to hit UK in 2014
Canadian farm buggy maker BRP is to launch its striking six-wheel drive Can-Am Outlander 1000XT into the farming and forestry sector next year.
The new model has an 82hp petrol-powered Rotax 1000 V-twin engine and an upgraded suspension. Like its four-wheel stablemates, the Outlander 6×6 will have the company’s three-stage power steering system.
The dual-level rear cargo box includes a large flatbed that can carry 363kg. The front rack can also hold up to 45kg and towing capacity is 750kg.
Its Visco-Lok system claims to give quick engagement of the front differential, progressively transferring power from a slipping front wheel to the gripping one automatically.
It comes in light grey or yellow and is fitted with the firm’s its anti-theft key system. It will be available from June 2014 and costs £13,582.
