Lamma 2024: Powerland Tachyon electric ATV packs 48hp

There is a new player in the world of electric ATVs, which comes in the form of the India-built Powerland Tachyon.

Headline stats include a 48hp output provided by in-wheel motors and an 11.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack that gives it a range of up to 68 miles.

Charging time is roughly six hours from flat when plugged into a regular 240V socket.

It also comes with a switchable four-wheel-drive system and a series of driving modes that tailor power to the task in hand and help extend range.

Maximum carrying capacity is 650kg (including the rider), it can tow up to 585kg and it’s fitted with a front winch as standard.

The bikes are being distributed in the UK by Boss Off-Road Vehicles, which also brings in Corvus UTVs. Only one spec is available – it costs £14,995 – but there is a choice of green, grey, black or white body panels.
