New online beef tool to aid with farmers’ management tasks

A new online herd management tool has been developed to help beef farmers carry out key tasks related to calving and service management.

The Herd Management Calendar developed by levy body Eblex will email weekly management task reminders to producers, who will also be able to add their own tasks to the calendar.

Clicking on each task will also reveal more in-depth information.

Farmers will be able to trial out the tool during its launch at Beef Expo on 21 May in York, where experts will be on hand to demonstrate the new tool.

Eblex senior regional manager, Steve Dunkley said: “We’ve got an array of tools available and the show will be a great opportunity for producers to have a go with the new herd management calendar.”
