Could you be Britain’s Sexiest Farmer?
Fancy helping spread the word about how “sexy” farming is and having some fun in the process? Well you could be just the sort of person we are looking for.
It’s got to be one of the most sought-after accolades in the countryside – Britain’s Sexiest Farmer 2015.
Just imagine the lifetime of bragging rights you’d acquire if you were to bag the title. And one lucky man and one lucky woman will do just that, in this unique contest which launches this week.
Entering is quick and easy (you can either put yourself forward or nominate someone else) and we’ve enlisted some very special help to help us choose our two eventual winners.
Fashion expert, TV presenter, author and all-round national treasure Gok Wan will help the Farmers Weekly judges come up with a shortlist, which we’ll then put out to a public vote so readers can decide our two overall winners.
Sexiness, of course, encompasses a myriad of traits and, when we’ve run this competition before, people have been nominated for all sorts of reasons. It might be because they’re a great parent or have a fantastic sense of humour. It might be because they have a hardworking nature or gorgeous eyes. It might be because of their commitment to the local community or even their stockmanship skills. Whatever the reason, we want to hear it.
We’re sure the competition will capture the imagination of the wider media again in 2015, so this will be a great chance to raise the profile of agriculture and encourage more people to pursue a career in it.
Farmers Weekly’s deputy community and Farmlife editor Hayley Parrott says: “This competition will be a lot of fun for everyone taking part. It will also help show the public that the people involved in agriculture are very different to the stereotype that still exists in some people’s minds. It’s a modern, exciting and progressive industry.
“In the same way that a wide variety of people work in the countryside, so we’re expecting all sorts of people of all ages to enter this competition. I can’t wait to help Gok compile the shortlist.”
Anyone living on a farm, studying a land-based subject or working in farming or any of the ancillary industries can enter, so we hope you’ll get involved.
All the 10 shortlisted entrants will win a fantastic pair of wellies from The Original Muck Boot Company and the two lucky winners will be profiled in Farmers Weekly after we’ve whisked them off to a glamorous location (OK, a farm) for a professional photoshoot.
You know farming’s sexy. We know farming’s sexy. Come on, together, let’s tell the world it is.

Message from Gok
“In my most humble opinion, farmers really are a sexy bunch of people. Whether they’re in wellies and overalls, or in a dress or DJ, farmers are pretty damn hot.
“So I was thrilled when the Farmers Weekly gang asked me to get involved again with the 2015 Britain’s Sexiest Farmer competition. I can’t wait to see all those gorgeous guys and gals. As for what sexiness means to me, well, it can be many things – everything from a twinkle in the eye to a mischievous sense of humour and lots of things inbetween.
“Whatever it is, I know there are people on farms around the country who have it by the bucketload so don’t be shy, people, put yourself forward for the competition or show a friend how much you appreciate their sexiness by giving them a cheeky nomination.”
