English grassland farms offer arable opportunities
A number of good grassland blocks with arable potential are for sale this week across England.
Cornwall
About 145 acres of bare pasture near Lesnewth is being sold as a whole at a guide price of £1m. The land adjoining Helsett Farm is certified organic and has access for large machinery if converted to arable production.
About 26 acres is steep grazing or conservation land, with a further 10 acres of woodland. (Humberts 01823 331 234)
Buckinghamshire
Langley Farm – a 72-acre grassland enterprise – is for sale at a guide price of £1.1m.
The entire Grade 3 acreage near High Wycombe has also been farmed organically for the past 15 years.

Somerset
Tenders are invited for 86 acres at West Bagborough in the Quantock Hills.
The block is down to grass and some of the free-draining soil is classified as Grade 2.
Tenders must be received for the whole, or four lots, by Friday 25 September. The guide price for the whole is £745,000. (Humberts 01823 331 234)
Northumberland
The 77 acres of grassland at Bradley Hall Farm near Wylam is also suitable for growing arable crops. Â
